SAO JOAQUIM NATIONWIDE PARK

The park is in the Atlantic Forest biome. It covers a region of forty eight,300 hectares (119,000 acres). It had been proven by decree on 6 July 1961, and is particularly administered because of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation.
